Shipping Perishable Cargo Course

Target participants:

A comprehensive training of Shipping Perishable Cargo is designed for the following personnel who involved in air cargo industry -

• Cargo operations and ground handling staff responsible for handling of perishable cargo;

• Cargo customer service and sales staff at airlines and cargo agents involve with perishable cargo;

• Logistics or transportation department staff at shippers preparing perishable cargo for air transportation;
• Instructors responsible for cargo training.

• Shipper and Airline responsibilities
• Perishable types and their classification
• Packaging types
• Documentation and labelling
• Acceptance and control
• Perishable handling procedures
• ULD and airport operations
• Damage, claims and tracking
• Air transport of cut flowers

• CITES regulations

Duration:

16 hours

Medium:

English, Mandarin or Cantonese with English handout

Assessment:

A written examination will be held at the end of the course in order to test participant's comprehension of Shipping Perishable Cargo knowledge.

Award:

A certificate will be awarded to participant who obtained 70 marks or above in the examination.  Distinction is awarded to participants obtaining a grade of 90% or higher.
