Dangerous Goods Awareness is designed for Freight Forwarders who involved in process cargo:

• Personnel responsible for processing or accepting goods presented as general cargo - Role b; and
• Personnel responsible for handling cargo in a warehouse and loading and unloading unit load devices - Role d

Contents:

Dangerous Goods Awareness Course is using the current edition of IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations to teach the following knowledge of dangerous goods –

Ÿ   General Philosophy

Ÿ   Limitations

Ÿ   Provisions for Passengers and Crew

Ÿ   Recognition of Undeclared Dangerous Goods

Ÿ   Marking and Labelling

Ÿ   Documentation

Ÿ   Storage and Loading Procedures

Ÿ   Emergency and Reporting Procedures

Duration:

3 hours

Medium:

Cantonese with English handout

Assessment:

A 40 minutes written examination will be held at the end of the course in order to test participant's comprehension of dangerous goods knowledge

Award:

A Certificate will be awarded to the participant who obtained 80 marks or above in the examination
