Dangerous Goods Regulations - Recurrent Course (Role a & c Personnel)

 

Target Participants:

As required by ICAO/IATA, all qualified dangerous goods handlers must take a recurrent training within 24 months of previous training to ensure knowledge is current.

 

A recurrent training of dangerous goods regulations is designed for the following personnel who need to refresh their knowledge –

 

 Shipper and Freight Forwarder:

Personnel responsible for preparation of DG consignments (Role a)

Personnel responsible for processing or accepting DG consignments (Role c)

 

 

Contents:

Dangerous Goods Regulations Recurrent Course is using the current edition of IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations to update and refresh the following knowledge of dangerous goods information –

Ÿ   General Requirements for Shipper and Freight Forwarder

Ÿ   Limitations

Ÿ   Recognition of Undeclared Dangerous Goods

Ÿ   Provisions for Passengers and Crew

Ÿ   Classification

Ÿ   List of Dangerous Goods

Ÿ   Packing Instruction

Ÿ   Packaging Specifications & Performance Tests

Ÿ   Marking and Labelling

Ÿ   Shipper's Declaration and other relevant documentation

Ÿ   Handling

Ÿ   Acceptance Procedures

Ÿ   Storage and Loading Procedures

Ÿ   Pilots' Notification

Ÿ   Emergency and Reporting Procedures

Ÿ   Radioactive Materials

Ÿ   Lithium Batteries

 

Duration:

24 hours

 

Medium:

English, Mandarin or Cantonese with English handout

 

Assessment:

A written examination will be held at the end of the course in order to test participant's comprehension of dangerous goods handling knowledge

 

Award:

A Certificate will be awarded to participant who obtained 80 marks or above in the examination
