Cargo Claims Handling Course

Target participants:

A comprehensive training of Cargo Claims Handling is designed for the following personnel who involved in air cargo industry -

• Airlines and freight forwarders claims managers, insurance manager and legal counsel;
• Claims process personnel

Course Content:

• The nature, sources and principles of the legal framework in the air cargo industry
• The 1929 Warsaw Convention
• The 1955 Hague Protocol
• The 1975 Montreal Protocol
• The 1999 Montreal Convention
• General conditions of carriage
• Conditions of contract
• Obligation and right of the shipper, consignee and claimant
• Cargo claims handling procedures, awareness and prevention

Duration:

16 hours

Medium:

English, Mandarin or Cantonese with English handout

Assessment:

A written examination will be held at the end of the course in order to test participant's comprehension of Cargo Claims Handling knowledge.

Award:

A certificate will be awarded to participant who obtained 70 marks or above in the examination.  Distinction is awarded to participants obtaining a grade of 90% or higher.
